Blast from the Past

Blast from the Past

Hello Shoes Lover! A warm welcome to another weekend! Time to wind down and re-charge for another week ahead!

Today, we’re going to talk about vintage fashion. Vintage is a general term used to describe garment and fashion items originating from an earlier era. These days, it can be used to describe a style or fashion pieces that are linked to a particular era. Even mixing vintage with modern pieces and creating your own outfit of various styles and periods can be considered part of a vintage style.

Of course, nothing is really complete if you do not have a pair of suitable shoes to complete the outfit. You’ll be amazed by how the shoe styles has evolved over the different decades. It started from heeled Mary-Janes (closed shoe with one or more straps across the arched part of the top of the foot) and T-strap shoes in the 20s, the Oxford, slingbacks (shoes with a strap that crosses behind the heel or ankle) and peep toe shoes (shoes that allow a few toes to be shown) in the 30s, platforms in the 40s, to block heels (shoes with chunky heels) and stilettos in the recent eras. It’s not surprising to see that these vintage shoe styles have made a comeback time and again and is being incorporated into modern wear these days.

Having said all these, come make an appointment with Le Cuore where we can help you work towards that comfortable and stylish pair of vintage style you’ve always been wanting! Cheers!

XOXO,
